Just I thought to share some of my Paintings of Varanasi Series with you.  Because it was a great experience for me while, most of artist have created the glory of Varanasi in different visual Languages. After finish my education of MFA from Banaras Hindu University, I was in faith of Varanasi that i want to paint it; but don't want to choose the way of illustration.

I did pray to Maa Annapurna (The Divine Goddeses) and one night, at bank of Ganga I Got it. then it became true on canvases.  As One of My Connoisseur and Artist Miss Asha Kant, express their valuable comment through Facebook's Massage Box; " You have chosen a peculiar theme Nag saab....n awesome one..color combination n the waves of brushes create third dimensional effect which takes a person to the other world.....i liked your work very much...". The Mid night of Varanasi have different feeling which can't be accessed simply. The impact of its revelation is stunning and overwhelming for anybody through this wide painting. this is a prime example of Spirituality and its concerning with art. This liberation is a realisation of the self's identity with the absolute. The temples & shrines, ashrams and pavilions that stretch along the river for wide space appear to be golden, providing a very pleasant experience.  Complete Abstract feelings with special visual language are a prominent part of Varanasi series of these paintings created by myself. In this series I have created some more like; Smile Varanasi, Mid night Varanasi, Dancing Varanasi etc. this painting shows Abstraction in the continuity of Paul Klee. Perpetuity and textural colour and hues make it mysterious and joyful which is very close to Varanasi and its characteristics.
